 The President of the United States, by the authority vested in him by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including sections 201 and 301 of the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1601 et seq.) and consistent with section 1135 of the Social Security Act (SSA), as amended (42 U.S.C. 1320b-5), has heretofore proclaimed that the COVID-19 outbreak in the United States constitutes a national emergency, beginning March 1, 2020. Pursuant to this declaration, and given the recent attention to the potential impacts of coronavirus (COVID-19), and as a general precaution to remind local governmental units of options available to ensure the continued regular operation of local government [Executive Order 103 (Murphy 3/9/2020) and Executive Order 107 (Murphy 3/20/2020)], and the mechanisms that have been used by local governments during emergencies that render in-person meetings less than optimal, pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40:55D-11 and 12, a  board meeting which is the subject of this notice has been scheduled for May 26, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. The board meeting will be held telephonically and online only.

As an additional avenue to support our HTSD community, a hotline has been set up for all families to call if they are in need of any assistance. The number for the hotline is (609) 476- 6138. If you or someone you know needs assistance with meals, wellness, or any other related service, please call the hotline, leave a message, and we will reach out as quickly as possible

Meal Distribution for the period

May 20, 2020 to June 24, 2020



The Hamilton Township School District’s Food Services Department will make every attempt to provide meals for all students living in our district during this crisis.

Pick up is available at the William Davies Middle School or Joseph C. Shaner Elementary School at the main entrance drive through.  When you arrive, leave your windows up and remain in your car until instructed to pull up.   
Please maintain social distancing.

You may pick up at either school for all children in your household regardless of where your child is enrolled.

All children 0-18 are eligible for this service regardless of current meal status.

Accounts will NOT be charged and ID numbers are NOT necessary.

Distribution dates and times are listed below for all students:

 May 20th,  May 27th, June 3rd, June 10th, June 17th and June 24th

Shaner - 9:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m.

Davies – 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

(Breakfast will include cereal, pop tart or cereal bar, fruit, graham crackers and milk)

(Lunches will include milk, fruit, vegetable and a weekly entrée that will be posted prior to pick up)

 These items may change depending on availability.  The menu will be posted in advance.

Important to Know:

The Peanut butter and jelly sandwich may be frozen and can be kept frozen for up to one month.   Simply refrigerate the sandwich to defrost.  If you plan to eat the sandwich within an hour, you may defrost on the counter at room temperature.  Fresh fruit such as apples and oranges should be refrigerated.   Breakfast items such as dried craisins and raisins do not require refrigeration.  Please feel free to email Bill Trackman, Foodservices Supervisor with any concerns at Trackmanb@hamiltonschools.org  or call 609-476-6138 if you do not have transportation.
